Creative duo Bex Anson and Dav Bernard, have lived and breathed circus, dance, live music, visual arts and site-specific theatrics since they started working together in 2007.
Dav designs AV, lighting, set, sounds, and is a sought-after touring technical director. Bex is the art director and costume designer, her background spans performance direction and creative producing.
MHz collaborates with single performers or embeds with larger creative teams, with two minds, a shared wealth of skills and experience and a single vision to electrify.
Dav is a leading audiovisual designer and technical director for live productions (theatre, concerts, clubs, and circus). His work ranges from large scale touring shows including content production and multi-screen mapping projections to ambitious visual arts installations. He has been commissioned by organisations including NVA, Opera North, Quaternaire, The Tiger Lillies, The Arches, Scottish Opera, National Theatre of Scotland,Vox Motus, National Review of Live Art, Minimal festival, Glasgow International Festival, Glastonbury, Ankur, Timerous Beasties, British Fashion Awards and Teenage Cancer Trust. His work has also been selected amongst the world's 150 most influential practitioners in DFUSE' VJ and AV culture book (2006).
Bex is a Glasgow based visual theatre director and scenographer interested in audience experience, experimental environments and collective synergy. A painting graduate of the GSA (2006), she co-founded site-specific art gallery Lowsalt and multidisciplinary collective 85A. She is an associate director with Bassline Circus.
In recent years Bex has specialised in expanding her physical theatre practice training with the likes of Philip Gaullier, Mick Barnfather, Hillary Westlake, Fabrizio Montecchi and Agnès Limbos. A recipient of a 2018 Jerwood Performing arts bursary she undertook a 'Laboratory of Artistic Brilliance' with Cirkus Cirkör. Mhz/Bassline Circus' show FLIP was selected as artist in residence with NoFit State Circus and NewVic Theatre. VOID will be showcased as part of Made In Scotland 2018 programme at the Edinburgh fringe.
